Christoph Bangert set out in the summer of 2007 on a 14 months long overland journey with his Land Rover across Africa. The epic journey eventually took him and his girlfriend Chiho, who joined him later, to 36 different countries, circling almost the entire African continent by road. In this book we join the two travelers on their 60.000 Kilometer Land Rover expedition in a personal story about their struggle with breakdowns, roadblocks, river crossings, mud holes, desert sand, corrupt officials and tropical diseases as well as a rediscovery of life and ultimately, love.
